Russ Cronberg Appointed to American Hotel & Lodging Association’s Resort Committee
Russ Cronberg, a seasoned luxury hospitality executive with over 24 years of experience, has been appointed to the prestigious American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) Resort Committee. This esteemed role highlights his extensive contributions to the hospitality industry and his ongoing commitment to elevating guest experiences and operational excellence.
As director of hospitality for the University of Virginia Foundation, Russ Cronberg oversees the operations and development of world-class properties, including the award-winning Boar's Head Resort and forthcoming projects such as the Virginia Guesthouse and Birdwood Mansion. Throughout his career, he has successfully led transformative initiatives, including multimillion-dollar renovations and brand repositioning efforts, earning accolades for financial performance, team engagement, and guest satisfaction.
The AHLA Resort Committee comprises leaders from across the country dedicated to addressing key challenges and advancing opportunities within the resort sector. Cronberg's appointment reflects his leadership and innovative approach to luxury hospitality.

Cronberg is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) and chaired the Virginia Restaurant, Lodging, and Tourism Association Board of Directors and the Charlottesville Albemarle Convention & Visitors Bureau Executive Board. He holds a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Grand Valley State University and an executive certificate in Hotel Management from Cornell University.
