As Chief Financial Officer, Brad Butler is responsible for all financial aspects of the organization and its subsidiaries. Mr. Butler joined the Foundation in 1997 and his career at the Foundation spans over 23 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including 10 years as the UVA Foundation’s Controller.

Mr. Butler earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting at Emory and Henry College, and he earned a Master in Business Administration from James Madison University. Mr. Butler is a Certified Public Accountant in Virginia and a member of the VSCPA. In addition, he is a member of the AICPA and holds the designation of Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). Mr. Butler formerly served on the board of Fluvanna Youth Baseball for 9 years as the league treasurer.

Brad and his wife Sara have two sons, Jacob and Zachary. They reside in Fluvanna County and enjoy spending time outdoors and traveling.
