Historic Renovation Corporation
The Historic Renovation Corporation (HRC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Foundation, is a full service property management company. HRC was founded in 1983 to specialize in the management of fraternity and sorority housing at the University of Virginia. Originally, HRC was created to address the deteriorating conditions of the Greek housing system. Today, HRC has evolved into a third-party property management firm handling the day-to-day management for the Greek housing market at the University of Virginia. HRC also manages some properties in the Foundation's real estate portfolo.
HRC has over 25 years of experience in the management of multi-tenant historical houses as well as a professional, well-trained staff of accountants, property managers and maintenance personnel, with over 50 years of combined experience.
As a full-service management firm, our services include:
Facilities Maintenance:
• Prompt responses to maintenance requests
• On-site weekly property inspections
• 24-hour emergency service, 365 days a year
• Ensure fire control systems that meet code and are regularly serviced
• Preventative maintenance programs for building systems
• Low hourly maintenance fees for our highly trained staff
• Coordination of trash removal, landscaping and grounds services, janitorial services, laundry service, appliance repair & replacement and pest control
Administrative Services:
• Coordination of move-in and move-out with house officers
• Leasing services
• Customer/Resident relations
• Project Management for house renovations
• Interviewing, hiring and supervising all contractors required for successful property maintenance
• Providing professional recommendations to House Corporations
• Enforcement of Greek Rules & Regulations
• Coordinating Special Events - Alumni Reunions
Financial Services:
• Preparation of annual house budgets
• Collection of rent, fees & dues
• Preparation of monthly financial reports
• Preparation of quarterly damage statements
• Processing vendor payments
• Delinquency Collections
